Today the sisters chat through how they think about goal setting. There is power in writing them down. Set the intention and it will get your brain thinking about how to make it happen!
When you are in an Action Crisis, meaning where you feel caught between further goal pursuit and disengagement, what do you do? Lauren has a great trick. If you don’t want to do the task at hand then instead your choice is to do absolutely nothing, meaning sit and literally do nothing (stare at the wall).
Lauren has a great example: she hates doing her bookkeeping and puts it off till the last minute usually. So she started implementing this thought process and realizing well this is silly, I’m not going to sit here and stare at the wall so I might as well complete the bookkeeping. Sounds silly, but it really is an effective tool to get yourself moving on the tasks at hand, which will ultimately lead you to meeting your goals.
